Just caught up with one of Australia’s most exciting new country music artist’s, Sarah Leete. Sarah has just released her debut single “SAFE“, has a new self-titled EP and is on tour in NSW right now.
A regional NSW girl who’s grew up listening to Cat Stevens/Fleetwood Mac, before hitting her young teens and began writing songs and learning the guitar. The current single “Safe” was written about her relationship, with now husband. A story about how relationships take work, but at the end of the day they are worth it. An ultimate love song that has also been the first dance song at a couple of weddings.
The self titled EP (which is out now) was produced by four-time Golden Guitar winner Catherine Britt who says …
“Sarah is different to all of the other current new acts coming onto the country music scene. She has strength and grit in her voice and songwriting that stands above the rest”
It has been an uphill journey for Sarah, not knowing the ins and outs of the music industry. She has thrown herself into every opportunity that has come her way including winning the 2013 North West Battle of the Bands competition, 2015 Moree Superstar Competition and also a semi-finalist in the 2016 Gympie Music Muster Talent Search. Recently Sarah was also recognised and named a recipient of the 2016 Arts NSW $10,000 Young Regional Artist Scholarship. The money helping create the EP and video for “Safe”.
Great news if you are in NSW, Sarah is on tour with the promise of more dates in 2018 throughout Victoria and Queensland. Make sure you head out and see Sarah or show some support by following her on social media (Links Below).
