Broadbeach Country Music Festival is building a reputation as one of Australia’s stand out country music festivals. Organisers today announced 25 incredible artists to this year’s program. The first line-up announcement named America, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Shane Nicholson, Travis Collins and Fanny Lumsden. This free, family friendly event is to be held Broadbeach on the Gold Coast. Kicking off on Friday the 28th and running through until Sunday the 30th of July 2017.

Aleyce Simmonds, Ben Ransom, Freya Josephine Hollick, Georgia Falls, Benn Gunn Band, Dana Gehrman, Alex & Bec Crook, Rex G Miller, Neillyrich, Tori Forsyth, Thor Philips, Whistle Dixie, Brooke Lambert & Hayley Jensen.
The beachside festival will see artists perform on the streets, in surrounding shopping malls, parks, bars and restaurants throughout the Broadbeach community on the Gold Coast. Entering it’s fifth year, the event brings 30,000 visitors from not only across Australia but also overseas.
Broadbeach Alliance Chief Executive Officer Jan McCormick says, “We are very proud of the line-up of talent that we have managed to secure this year. Not only do we have the absolute cream of the country music crop, we’re also showcasing top local stars like The Wolfe Brothers, Caitlyn Shadbolt and Sara Storer, who represent the future of Australian country.”
“The event will feature more than 84 performances from these stars on 12 stages, including a major stage in Surf Parade, and for the first time a headline stage in Kurrawa Park, right next to the beach,” she continued.
This year’s line up includes multi award winner Travis Collins, who in just over three months has taken home three prestigious Golden Guitar awards as well as a further three awards from the Country Music Awards (CMC) held in late March. While Fanny Lumsden, won the CMC New Artist of the Year award and the QANTASLINK New Talent of the Year at the Tamworth Golden Guitar awards in January. Sara Storer has also taken home a few awards home in the last six months, from the ARIA Awards for Best Country album of the year. Then at the Golden Guitars won Bush Ballad and Female Artist of the Year at the Golden Guitars.
Tasmanian brothers Tom and Nick Wolfe head the country rock band The Wolfe Brothers alongside best made Brodie Rainbird. Usually seen performing and touring with country mega star Lee Kernaghan. The boys have built a reputation of their own. These boys are a must see at Broadbeach Country Music Festival.
A name you may not be familiar with is Tomato Tomato, a husband and wife folk duo who are coming from Chicago. With their washboard percussions, airtight harmonies and general exuberance, these two are bringing their unique style down under.
