Alt-country singer-songwriter, Andrew Swift has inked a deal with independent record label, Social Family Records, for his forthcoming album, set for release in early 2018, with the first single just around the corner and scheduled to drop on 13 November.  Swift joins the likes of Matt Scullion, Gretta Ziller, Jason Owen, The Buckleys, and more of Australia’s finest talent on the burgeoning indie label.
I’m stoked to be a part of the SFR family, I’ve seen how hard they work with their artists to achieve their goals. Now I’m proud to be one of them.” – Andrew Swift
Swift made a big first impression on the country music world when he became a Toyota Star Maker grand finalist.  Teaming up with respected label mate, Americana singer-songwriter, Gretta Ziller, the pair took off on an intimate show of songs and storytelling on tour to caravan parks along the East Coast of New South Wales and Victoria and have continued to perform regularly together. Swift has also supported the likes of Shane Nicholson, Catherine Britt, Amber Lawrence, Adam Eckersley, and Lachlan Bryan, to name a few.

With his second album set for release in March next year, it was recorded under the guidance of sought-after producer Matt Fell at Sydney’s Love HZ studio and the band included guitarist Glen Hannah, drummer Josh Schuberth, Fell himself on bass, guitars, keys and percussion, Hammond organist and Adam Eckersley Band member Dan Biederman and Sam Hawksley on lap steel. Guest vocalists include Britt, Ziller and Katie Brianna.

Andrew Swift is one of those artists who works his butt off day in, day out.  He’s certainly the type of artist that Social Family Records welcomes and we look forward to working with Andrew to help him continue on his country music journey.  And for those whom keep wondering, no, he’s not related to Taylor.” – Nardia Drayton, Label Manager & Head of PR & Publicity, Social Family Records
The first single lifted from the album, Reckless Desires, is out on 13 November, with the album, Call Out For The Cavalry, commencing pre-order at the same time, with a tour announce due in coming days.
